Workplace Giving

What is workplace giving?

 

Through Workplace Giving (sometimes called Payroll Giving), employees contribute a nominated portion of their pre-tax salary to their chosen charity and receive the tax benefit straight away by reducing their taxable income, rather than waiting until the end of the financial year. It is a joint relationship between employers, employees and charities!

 

Workplace Giving is the most effective way for working Australians to support charity.

 

Organisations can also match employee contributions in a variety of ways through Matched Giving. Some organisations match donations dollar for dollar, others choose to double match or match to a capped amount. This initiative is a great way to support and honour employees’ commitment to the causes they care about.

How it works

Step One

Employees select the amount they would like to donate to the Wild Cat Conservation Foundation each pay cycle. This can be done through payroll or an online workplace giving platform.

Step Two

The nominated donation amount is deducted from the employee’s pre-tax pay, so the tax benefit is immediate reducing paperwork at tax time.

Step Three

Wild Cat Conservation Foundation receives and directs the donation to the area of greatest need. Every dollar helps us protect and ensure the survival of wild cat species!

How can I get involved?

 

Employers

 

You can participate through your company payroll. Simply ask your employees to opt-in using our registration form. Once deductions commence, please email your deduction listing/remittance advice to: info@wildcatcentre.org.au
